Infinite Mind Tutors strives to provide quality and affordable in-person and virtual test prep and tutoring services to help students achieve their academic goals by:

What We Offer

One-On-One Private Tutoring: Private tutoring instruction includes one-on-one academic support in mathematics, and English (reading and writing) courses for elementary, middle and high school students. Standardized Test Preparation: We offer personalized preparation for many standardized tests, including but not limited to SAT, ACT, GRE, State Exams, Entrance Exams, and AP and IB Exams.

Educational Consulting: All students should have the opportunity to approach college and career choice from a place of integrity, strength, and confidence. Infinite Mind tutors help students and their families approach the application process with a sense of excitement and curiosity about building a plan that will increase their opportunities in the world and lead to a greater sense of self. We are happy to help students in high school make sure that they are taking courses that are appropriate for the majors and careers they hope to pursue. Furthermore, we assist students through the college search, application preparation, and decision process.

Meet Our Tutors

Ms. Melanie Young, Founder & CEO

Expertise: K-12 Math, SAT, ACT, GRE prep, College Prep

Melanie is Philly born and raised. She graduated from the School District of Philadelphia, after which she attended the University of Pennsylvania where she graduated with a B.A. in Urban Studies and a M.S. in Education. After spending 5 years teaching in the Philadelphia Public school system, Melanie founded Infinite Mind Tutors where she has mentored and tutored many students from K-12 and beyond with a focus on Mathematics. Melanie also has extensive experience with SAT, ACT, and GRE prep, even with helping her students through the college application process.

Melanie continually works to improve the community around her through her participation as a facilitator in Interfaith America as well as her non-profit Math Girl Movement.

Ms. Nefertari Austin

Expertise: Middle School Math

Nefertari Austin is a dedicated and experienced math educator with a B.A. in Math Education and a Master's in Educational Leadership. With 7 years of teaching experience, she currently teaches 7th-grade math at KIPP Whittier in Camden, New Jersey.

Nefertari specializes in tutoring 6th to 9th-grade math, breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. She is passionate about creating those "aha" moments that light up her students' faces, making math accessible and enjoyable for learners of all levels.

Outside of teaching, Nefertari enjoys reading and spending time with loved ones.

Mr. Matthew Hammond

Expertise: Chemistry, Physics, and Math

Matthew Hammond brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his tutoring sessions. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry and a B.A. in Biochemistry and History, he specializes in tutoring AP Chemistry, AP Physics 1, AP Physics C, and high school-level chemistry and physics. He also supports students in Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry.

When he's not tutoring, Matthew can be found reading, exploring new topics, cheering for Boston sports teams, walking along the Cooper River, and spending time with friends.

Mr. Aquil Dantzler

Expertise: Elementary and Middle School Math and History

Mr. Aquil Dantzler is a passionate educator who pursued a B.A. in African American Studies from Morehouse College. He specializes in tutoring middle and elementary school math, helping students build a strong foundation while developing critical thinking skills.

Beyond teaching, Mr. Dantzler is a creative soul with a passion for singing, songwriting, reading, watching anime, hiking, and traveling.

Dr. Peter Knibbe

Expertise: Physics and Math

Peter is an encouraging and patient tutor with a PhD in experimental particle physics. He can teach math, chemistry, and physics from a middle-school level through college.

Peter's many interests include reading, gardening, walking through nature, and volunteering in his local community.
